Program Description

The Bilingual Domestic Violence Program is committed to providing a safe space for victims/survivors of domestic violence. Specific services include: 24-hour collaborative hotline (1-866-SAFE-014), crisis intervention in-person and via phone, ongoing individual and group counseling, court accompaniment, and the Shelia Brown Transitional Housing Program. Crisis, ongoing counseling and advocacy are provided in a variety of settings including Adult Philadelphia Probation Department, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and the Riverside Correctional Facility. The BDVP provides education and training about domestic violence for youth, community groups, professionals, workplaces and congregations. The Bilingual Domestic Violence Program serves male, female and transgender victims of domestic violence. All services are offered in English and Spanish. Philadelphia Domestic Violence Hotline The Bilingual Domestic Violence Program collaboratively operates Philadelphia's 24 hour city-wide domestic violence hotline. Additionally, referrals for other needs and services are available. A language line connection helps to proved service in multiple languages, as necessary.
